quickset wont work, help please!

i own a dell 640m laptop (ie:1405)

my quickset wont work and i dont know why...i reinstalled the driver and nothing.

i used to use it all the time. (ie: FN+F1 and F2 for standby and hibernate)

also, the volume control buttons used to display a visual gauge when i would raise or lower volume levels...now the buttons wok but there is no longer a visual aid.

please help.

All i can suggest is first un-install quickset using add/remove programs and then install the latest quickset update. If that still doesn't work, repeat the previous but instead install a previous version of the application.

i think the problem was the latest windows update that corrupted it...i tried the ad/remove stuff b4 to no avail...


i posted on Dell forums and others are experiencing this as well.....like i said...likely due to the windows update.
