Strongly Recommend Against Hypersonic

Take this for what it's worth, but I've had an Aviator GX6 for about 3.5 years now. From my experience, I HIGHLY recommend you avoid Hypersonic.

First, from the very beginning the laptop's quality was poor. It shipped with an obviously defective keyboard (no fault of the shipping - the box arrived perfectly in tact).

Within three months my headphone jack no longer worked. It was probably about six months after that that half my USB slots stopped working as well.

Starting about two years ago my computer would start randomly shutting off. It's pretty obviously due to poor heat management - these computers get ridiculously hot and the fans - which are extremely loud and constantly in full use - don't do a good enough job dissipating the heat.

All of which could have been dealt with if their customer service was even serviceable. This is really why I advise against doing business with them. They were rude to me from the very start and, in the last incident, didn't even every bother to respond to my emails.

Honestly, they've been nothing but a headache from the start, and I regret I ever gave them my money.

Sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience. I've had my CX7 almost a year and have been very satisfied.

The times that I've had to call for something I've had very helpful and courteous reps who walked me through my issues. Last week my Nvidia graphics card went bad which I don't think has anything to do with Hypersonic, and a new one was shipped out within the hour.

I think being a Hypersonic customer outside the US sucks ass.

My $0.02. That said my CQ6 is still more or less useable. Nothing I could've done about any problems that came up, because I couldn't afford to wait the two months shipping it back and forth overseas. It's reasons like that I consider going Dell.

If anyone could tell me why I should get the SR5, I'd love to hear your opinions though.
