Replacing motherboard..

I have an old Area-51 M7something (I'm guessing m7700, but I don't remember), and the motherboard is dead and took the hard drive with it.

My question is how hard would it be to find a new motherboard and replace the one that's currently in it?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it seems the 7700 are a dying alien race as it were. Anyways, it seems the only thing wrong with my motherboard is that it fries any internal hard drive i connect to it. I'm gonna try to use an external hard drive instead of replacing the mobo and hard drive.
