I got my dv2500 the other day and am trying to play World of Warcraft on it. Now, the laptop is specced as follows:
- Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)
- Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor T7300 (2.00 GHz, 4 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
- 14.1" WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800)
- 2GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
- 319MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
- HP Imprint Finish (Radiance) + Microphone
- Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
- FREE Upgrade from 120GB 5400RPM to 160GB 5400RPM!!
- SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
- No TV Tuner w/remote control
- 12 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
- Microsoft(R) Works 8.0
Now, after cleaning all kinds of roxio and yahoo shit off of it that came preloaded, I installed World of Warcraft and was underwhelmed. I get about 10 frames per second on mid-high to high settings. This is not a very graphically intensive game. My friend has a similarly specced laptop, a dell (actually he has less RAM), and it runs the game never dipping below 30fps on max settings.
Help me please, this is such a bummer right now, I know this machine is capable of better.
