I am looking for a D870PBat-8 for my 8790 laptop. If anyone out there knows of a place I can purchase one from, please post here or send me an email if you have one in new or like-new working condition and would like to sell it.

I got one from Pro-Star last year for about $125. I can't find it on their web site. You might want to call them.
Try this url to Sager's web site but they want $145.

Pro-Star has it for $115.00, but this would be for the same 4800mAH cells. I just found this place for anyone else looking for batteries, they replace the cells in the pack for 6600mAH cells for 89.00 and ship it back to you.

For those looking to replace their battery with a stronger, longer lasting (not the same milli-amp-hour cells it came with originally) battery pack that will work perfectly in your laptop. For alot less money, check out www.batteryrefill.com.
I am having my done by these people and rather than getting the same 4800mAH cells (factory), which translates into "how long your batteries will run" language, I am getting mine in a 6600mAh pack.
