When this card comes out at the end of the year, will it get the same 3dmarks scores and fps in old/new games as the desktop version or will it be a little faster then the 8700m? I hope its going to be same as the desktop version.

No mobile graphics card will be on the same performance as it's desktop counter part. The mobile cards are underpowered.

Well I would hope that the 8800M > 8700M. That would be really dissapointing if this wasn't the case.

The 8800M should be more powerful than the 8700M, but it may not be more powerful than the high end cards we are using now in our laptops.

The 8700M is a joke, even current 7800/7900 mobile cards are more poweful than the 8700M cards.

Then I hope its close to the speed of the desktop gtx version then it is to 8700m and 7950go.

It should be close to, but it wont be anywhere near the 8800GTX speeds. Probably closer to a underpower'd 8800GTS, maybe.

Don't keep your hopes up though.

I will be happy if it is on par w/ the current 7950go card, which plays all games, actually I'm not hoping for much more than that at this time........

Ill be surprised if you ever see an actual 8800m. If anything, it will be a renamed G92 or something.

That's what I'd be willing to bet. They will have to run it on a completely different architecture to get faster speeds, current high end cards are just taking too much power, causing too much heat.

hopefully the format stays the same so the ppl. buying notebooks w/ 8700gts MXM cards don't get shafted
