There fun at a party when everyone is Drunk but other then that I really haven't had all that much fun with it just playing normal games. Love my DS though.

My main reason for getting one is b/c I don't want to buy a new HD tv which rules out a 360 or PS3 for me.....naturally a Wii is my choice. Also I think my fiance might actually play some of the Wii games with me = bonus.

Good luck with that micity. I haven't found anything worth playing single player on that system yet. Zelda is about it, and it just looked so old I couldn't get into it.

I enjoy pretty much all mario games so hopefully that will help, also if I don't like i I should be able to sell it, seems to still be in high demand.

I still haven't gotten to play Galaxy or Mario Party so there is hope. Don't get me wrong the Wii is a hell of a lot of fun when you playing with a group and it looks like there are a lot of good games coming out for it but nothing yet would make me buy one. In the last two months all my friends have gotten them so I can play when ever I feel like it.

I have one. I haven't played mine a lot but I just rented Super Paper Mario and its awesome. I love it. The Wii will really shine when SSBB, SMG, de Blob, Zak and Wiki, MP3, ect. come out

We will have to see. I just can't play games that look so dated on what is a brand new system. I like my eye candy way to much.

My friend has one, and I love it. It seems to be aimed more at the party gamer and multiplayer experience than single-player. I remember my friend's fiancée saying after she had played one game for a couple hours, her arm hurt from waving it around.

Regardless, I think it's a lot of fun. I can understand how some don't like it because the graphics aren't as good as the other systems out there, but I've always been much more impressed by solid gameplay than great graphics, and the Wii has that in spades.

Mario Party and Paper Mario are two must buys and yes, women will play the Wii. Both my wife and daughter play it and they won't play anything else, except my daughter plays Sims on here laptop.

and you'll notice my link in the ps3 thread where the Wii just passed the 360 in total sales. That should tell you something...

played it for a few hours last night and it is fun....buy one if u can.

I picked up Carnival Games yesterday and it's another must buy. Has pretty much every carnival game you can think of and gives your arm a good workout. The squirting water into the clowns mouth to fill up the balloon game had my arm in serious pain

I also picked up Brunswick Bowling, but haven't opened it. Has anyone tried it?

I thought that I was going to dislike the controllers but I actually do. Twice they wouldn't sync so I had to unplug the console and plug it back in. That fixes the problem. And it's the only problem I've run into.

You know, I could get flamed by the fanboys for this but:

While it is true that today's gaming machines graphics are gorgeous and have advanced a lot (I dreamed of seeing them back in the good ol' days of 8-bit gaming). Still, gaming is something that goes down to a single factor: fun.

Yesterday, my brother (he's 15) and I took out the ol' Atari 2600 and played Combat, yes, we had lots of fun chasing and blowing each other's vehicle/ariplane and seeing who got the highest number of kills.

Heh got my Wii at home. To back up Moidock's statement... I got the Wii for the classic games on it primarily. So one of the first things I did was download things like the Original Zelda and Link to the Past(Skipped Zelda 2, may come abck to it eventually but it wasn't as good), some Marios(Inc Mario Kart and various other VC titles.

That isn't to say I don't play others, currently Twilight Princess is in and I am enjoying it when I actually get to play it. But yea the Wii and the VC are definitely why I got it.

Seablade

Waiting for Squeenix to do something right and release a version of Secret of Mana on the VC that can be played multi-player with others over the internet.
