I would like to know all the 8790 owner if they have dead pixel or no. And if you do have dead pixel, what are you planning to do about it.

Yes! lit blue pixel in middle of the screen. Very annoying. That's part of the reason I returned the laptop. I might reorder from PCTorque though.

Hey, I ordered my 8790 from agearnotebooks.com and had one lit blue pixel in the center screen, but you can barely see it, but since i notice it, i always think about it, and so I ordered a new one from www.pctorque.com and hope that the new one will have perfect lcd. And I will return and get a new one until I get the perfect screen.

a black pixel i could live with but not a lit one.

I have 5 (all on the left side) non-lit black or half-lit grey ones...

Definitely not as bad as a perma-lit blue/green/red though.

I will not be returning it based on dead pixels.

I had 2 stuck lit pixels (1 red, 1 pink) on my 8790 in the lower left quadrant. Sending it back and have already ordered another 8790 with a slightly diff config... here's to hoping the replacement has a perfect screen.

One dead pixel

I have one dead/stuck green pixel all the way to the left side/center of the screen. I tried gently rubbing it and it would go out for a little while but then on reboot it would come back, or sit there and flicker... so I am sorry to say that I have called for an RMA and will try to do a cross ship with them and hopefully will get a "perfect" screen. I hope that the people waiting to receive theirs get a perfect screen!

They told me they will not do cross ship based on dead pixel screen replacement. So instead of returning it to replace the screen hoping for perfect screen, I just order a new one and return the old on and keep doing it until I get a damn perfect screen.

I hope the shipping costs justify a screen without dead pixel. Send me all that shipping money and i'll swap screens with you

One blue one

i got 1 in the bottom right corner of the screen. it is hardly noticable, you really have to try real hard to look for it.
but what really annoys me is my desktop. when i strech my wallpaper, i can see pixels everywhere. you can only see it on the desktop it doesnt show up whenever a window is maxed.
