Glitching Games and Sound

Well this is odd. I had to re-install everything for my computer because I got a new hard drive, a Hitachi 7k200.

Well I installed all the factory drivers from Dell and went to play SWAT 4, and when I play it glitches, seems to run fine for a little bit, but once I get into the actual game and the AI has to respond or lots of sounds come up, my game starts to loose frame rate and act quite oddly (bodies falling oddly and choppily)

I'm using my E1705 w/ Windows MCE 2005.
If anyone needs to know more to help me figure this out just ask, I'll answer.

Good question, no it did not, and I can stick my old HD back in my PC and it works.

My friend had a similiarproblem to yours except it was in spliter cell.

He installed a CPU optimizer (he installed AMDX2 himself) and it was lagging all over the place and nothing was in 'sync'

But yea the optimizer fixed all the small quarks

Ur usin the same vid driver rite?

From what I know yes I am. Just right off the Dell.com website.
I'm not sure if stuff is out of sync as much as things just start to hang and freeze.

I don't know what happened, but all my problems just packed their bags and headed out... Wish I knew what did it, but I swear I checked after each thing I did. Last thing I did was... well, hrm, uninstall some drivers I tried and then went back to the original drivers I was working with.

Oh well As often is the case, just talking about it gets it fixed

Nah, its back, not sure what's going on, it seems to run fine then the screen appears to refresh and then it starts to lag again.

does your frame rate rise and then fall then rise and fall and continue the stomach turning cycle? (if in XP) Right click desktop, go to screen saver, click power, and under power schemes select "Home/ Office Desk" If problems go away with this option you should reinstall your chipset drivers.
