**ANNOUNCEMENT**Rules about Posting Links to Ebay or other Resellers

i called ((EDITED OUT BY MOD --- READ ABOVE!!!))they were kinda weird about answering my questions so i ruled them out.

but i did email ((LINK EDITED OUT BY MOD --- READ ABOVE!!!)))that guy, heres what he said:

Quote:
These are actual alienware systems, they are made by alienware and have their original packing , etc. Sometimes we upgrade drives or memory as we need, but it is all using the same reputable brands of components. It is simple to do some of these upgrades yourselves, and the manual shows you how if you ever need to do something later. The main system is 100% original alienware and has all original components in it.

What I meant was, that we are not associated with alienware. These systems were bought by our company, some were used, some were not ( we try to note that in each listings) . We are simply selling the systems that we own. We are not a distributor that can sell you any system that you want. We can only choose from the ones we have.

I hope that makes more sense.

Thank you
anyway his prices are around $600-$700 less...also i never said they were official resellers and i think its rude that u quickly call me a scam.

Ah ... so it was you that deleted that topic ... heh, it was worth deleting, shame he didn't read my last message (i don't think) ... good job anyway

Here's Drew's lappy screen shots on this board http://notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=10576

And here's an example of scam on Ebay
***Link Removed by Moderator***

I hope Craig won't mind me posting the link here as I just wanna let people know the truth of these auction . (well mostly)

You missed the point Takushi. No links to ebay sales or scams are to be posted in the Alienware Forums. Thanks for the example but it was not needed.

A much-needed decision, and I applaud the mods. This kind of ilk is not wanted/needed here. Those who seek/believe/purchase these items get exactly what they deserve...you get what you pay for.

lol u guys are retarded

a dealer can order barebone systems at a discount rate as much as he wants, it has geniune alienware parts, i can prove this beyond a doubt all day long but u people wont let it get inside ur heads

why? well probably because u have alienware employees on these forums and that cant be tolerated right?

very lame? shaking ur head in disbelief? give me a break people im not a child

and they arent SCAMS, u idiots
Well you asked for it...

Alienware has a contract with Uniwill to be the only one that can purchase the chassis with the Glowing Eyes and Handles.

Alienware does not sell barebones laptops...period.

So how is someone getting these for a barebones setup? Because they're Uniwill chassis...NOT Alienware chassis. Buy one...I gaurantee it will show up without the Alienware lid.

As for your statement about not being a child, I'm sure you're not...you're just acting like one.

ok then how are the people who are receiving these laptops getting them in alienware boxes with alienware manuals and alienware bios? if it feels, works, and looks like alienware then why pay $800 more?

unless the 5 people ive emailed (who actually received the laptops from these barebone sellers) are all in on some uber scam against u all i doubt they are lying. i even tracked their isp on their emails, 3 were from california, one from montana, and one from alabama, all unique.

edit* if i wasnt clear enough....yes its the same lid as well

edit x2* i just re-read that...im sry but wtf, u called these people a scam that they are stealing ur money, then the warranty sucked, then the parts were defective, now ur only argument to justify spending close to an extra grand is that the back of the lid will be different? even if that WAS the case, which it ISNT, how is that a bad deal?
well, as we said before, if you trust them that badly, buy it from them yourself, and if we can afford that much for a laptop, really, paying $800 more isn't much of a problem ...

:::GIGGLES::: this thread is funny :::GIGGLES:::

stop fighting with retarded, man. let him do what he wants, let him buy it from anywhere, but just don't let him post about it.

Heres a thought. Maybe he works with the people that are trying to sell them? He is trying pretty hard to convince us it's legit.

Why don't you go and be the test guinee pig and let us know how it works out. I'm sure when you realize A) there are no official resellers, B) Warranties are not transferable C) Technical support will not deal with you or allow you access to their site. You will realize the $800 difference. This is of course assuming the thing works O.K. I think their technical support is worth $800 alone.

I didn't even mention the fact that you are posting this even after being told it is not permissable. This is a forum run by Moderates based on feedback from users and the reputation of PcTorque. It is not a democracy as you seem to think based on your continuous challenges, even though they try to make it as close to this as they can. I think you need to realize and respect this if you wish to continue. I probably would have flagged your name on the second post, Craig instead "shook his head in disbelief" and you criticized him for it. When they flag you and you think you are better off elsewhere, remember you had the chance. I'm notting meaning to flame or dispute what you did, but rules are rules. If you don't want to follow them, you will eventually pay the consequences. This is too valuable a service to throw away.

edit 1 - You could do yourself a big favor, Call Alienware and ask if they will support the product from the site you mentioned.
