He's lying to you, the question I would ask, is what else is he lying about. Do you want to plunk down hard earned money to buy from someone who is lying to you?

I would compare this to buying a Rolex watch on just about any NY street corner. It'll say Rolex, It will keep time, but then again, you could be getting scammed, if your not getting scammed, you could end up in prison.

I'm waiting to hear back from two other folks who have recieved and are happy with their 51-m notebooks. Current chassis no less. Given I haven't forked any money over I think I'll go have a look anyways.

To be honest it isn't the tech support I'm really worried about rather than driver upgrades or future GPU upgrades.

You will not get tech support from AW, so it sounds like you are O.K with that. The driver upgrade information you can usually get from this forum, so that is not a big issue. I'm not sure about the GPU Upgrades, since they are user upgradable, but again, if you have problems with upgrading the GPU and compatibility, you may be out of luck. You could probably call AW and tell them you bought one elsewhere and ask what they cover on upgrading the GPU. Just my guess, but I would think they would sell you the GPU but not support it, just IMHO.

Dante how are you going to hear back from this seller? is it by e-mail? because i know that I myself have several e-mail adresses..so how do you know that your seller isn't just e-mailing you back himself with a diffrent account and saying he is happy with his purchase?

If these are legitimate Alienware systems they should have a PC #. Ask for this number and then call Alienware to check. I would imagine they would be able to tell you whether this was used etc.

There are NO Official Alienware resellers.

There are NO authorized resellers of Alienware computer systems.

Posting links to ebay, scams, or resellers in violation of this announcement will result in a Ban from this AlienwareForum, At the moderators discretion.

Certain members have shown an interest in a reseller. It is obvious there is more to these "certain" members than a random, mutual interest. Despite the attempt to insult the intellegence of this forum, these "certain" members have been offered the hospitallity of AlienwareForums. Its gone. To discuss a scam, reseller, or ebay without a link to the site would be pointless.

At the moderators discretion, this a zero tolerance subject.

This thread is no longer to be used for discussion of ebay, scams, resellers.
