Notebook Cooler for m9750 - Page 2

Talk to HammerHead. He spent months planning to build his own cooler, but I don't think it ever happened. He might be able to give you some reasons why he chose not to in the end, along with some very good insight.

Well I read about half of the customer reviews on that product and it seems like the perfect buy. It's aluminum build is consistently labeled as a "pro." But more importantly, the cons are mostly "too noisy" or "the fan blows up instead of sucking the hot air away." I don't mind noise since the cooler will probably stay on my desk (when I take the computer elsewhere, I won't take the cooler), and I want the fans to blow upwards to work together with the internal fans. And finally, it is considerably cheaper than the Zalman cooler. However, I have been waiting for two weeks now for a shipment to come in. It's been out of stock for quite a while now. Is there any other location I can purchase this cooler at? Thanks.

As to the noise, I always have games or music going through my speakers, so I don't even notice it. You could try amazon.com or mysimon.com and see if either of those places can point you in the right direction. However, I do not know of somewhere else to get it offhand. Heck, google it.

I had that basic targus cooler board at first, but upgraded to the Targus Chill Hub Model # AWE01US; chills my laptop a lot better.

I don't use the provided AC adapter cord, opting instead for a short USB cable that I attach to my AW 9750, and the chill mat. This enables the chill mat to run off the computer's power and I don't have to worry about the long AC cord restricting my movements. Hope this helps.
