Keep in mind that USB and even firewire drives will be very slow compared to internal drives... If you're looking for speed, you might want to get big internals.

I think you can get 200G+ internal laptop drives now.

Yup, Thanks Hammer, I'm a hobbiest photographer and Musicoholic so space is priority one! Just a place to put all my stuff. Speed is not important.

for storage who cares? i have it almost full and i can still stream videos and music off it perfectly.. the only thing that sucks about it the copy rates off or on it
