I ran across this after almost losing my sanity with Alienware support, quite possibly the most useless department of any company I have ever had contact with.
Don't get me wrong, I love my m9700, but seeing things like this (along with my own experience) makes me raise my eyebrows:

That guy's a joke. He's using his case selectively to promote himself.
I've posted several comments on that site, and since they're not horror stories about Alienware, but suggestions on how to get your issues addressed, he deleted all my comments.
You'll find a few of these sites about most manufacturers if you look, search for Dell sucks and start counting.
Sorry you had issues with your m9700, mine's been flawless.
