Has anyone else bought the Sager NP2090?

I am looking to buy this laptop, but wanted to get the input from anyone out there.

I've looked at it a lot and tried to decide if I wanted it but haven't come to a decision yet.

It looks like a good light gaming notebook and is affordable. I'm not sure how the Sager 15.4" line is though.

I'm sure you know but you could get the barebones Compal IFL90 (I think that is the name) and build yourself.....could be a fun project.

I looked at the BB version, but don't want to spend that much time putting it together. Time is limited at this point. I also want to see how the XoticPC experience is, so that others may benefit.

I'm sure xoticpc will treat you well. They are actually located a couple miles from where I live. If/when I decide to buy I'll prob contact Justin and see if they have the model I want in stock so I can check it out before I spend the $$$. I didn't even know about them until a month ago.

When I make the purchase, I will post the journey from order to received.

I look forward to it........I will most likely buy my next notebook from them to support a local business and b/c of good things I have heard....though it sucks cause I'll have to pay sales tax

Here is a realllllllllllly long thread about the NP2090 @ NBR

Try Micro Express. They sell barebone and you can buy parts (CPU, MEM, HDD) from Newegg and save.

It is a great system but hard to get.

Thanks.
At this point my time is a little more valuable, but I still may consider building it myself.

Does building from BB save much money or is it really just done for the choice of options?

I mean. Choice of components.

I guess it does kind of save money.. I just configed a full BB NP2090 on xoticpc and it came out to $2073 which is a few hundred dollars cheaper than other sites. Would it be even cheaper if I got the components off NewEgg?

Wow look at me, the topic killer..

I just noticed something kind of disturbing, all the Comapl IFL90-based computers I've seen so far (NP2090, Aviator SR5) have the 8600M GT that comes with DDR2, which is only clocked at 800MHz. According to Wikipedia the 8600M GT is also available with 1400MHz GDDR3 memory, which makes me wonder where all those chips are..

The savings would not be enough for me. But that is me.
The spec says that the 8600 GT supports "low-cost" DDR2 RAM.
It would be nice if they gave you the option.
