Thread Starter
I have my laptop apart (sager 3790) and I disconnected the CMOS battery... I couldn't find a CMOS jumper, will these reset the CMOS?

Thanks,
Wayne

Yes, removing the CMOS battery will reset the CMOS memory.

You may have to leave it out for a fe minutes or maybe try booting without the cmos battery in.

Not sure where you bought it, but whenever I bought mine form Powernotebooks.com and had a problem, they were very quick to answer.

How did you take it apart? Been looking for a guide turned nothing up.

Whats your problem?

Heats up like dog in heat. Tried vacuuming dust from the vents, no go. Want to do a proper clean.

Plus I like taking things apart.. But not adventurous to do it on my own without a guide.

I should probably add that the air flow coming from the top left vent isn't as strong as it used to be, and often very warm.

Oh and most importantly, I know it gets too hot because it throttles itself in games like CSS where my fps plummets to about 20. I usually play at an average of 70.

Or hey, could anyone tell me how to turn thermal throttling off for the NP3790?
