yeah, as buck mentioned I had to rma it back to newegg. it developed a 12" blue string of dead/stuck pixels that ran vertically to the center of the lcd. I took pics, but they're on the desktop, so I won't be able to update till I get it back..

Hope everything works out fine, GBQ. I've seen several posts in other forums where people have had good luck with this monitor, so hope you do too.

That is a preview of what my rad will look like. It's the exact setup I have, but I'm running 110cfm fans, those are 88cfm

I should have more of an update later. I'm hoping X48 comes out the end of this month.

I need to take it apart. and cut out my mobo tray.

Bless you, GBQ. I could never wait this long to put a system together. It shows patience and fortitude on your part!

BTW, hooked up the EVGA 780i board today ... seems to work just fine. Only thing I don't care for is the inability to control a 3pin fan from the BIOS ... guess it was the same with the 680i, but I didn't notice cause fans were on a controller.

Thanks. I've been through worse in my life. This system will last me for awhile. My plan was to get everything that doesn't really change or improve first.. like harddrives and cooling, then wait for the last minute to get the highest top end stuff last.

More than likely, I'll be getting the 8800GT last and step it up to the 9800GTX.

I saw your update, very nice Shazza.

I just order this tonight.

4x EK High-Flow Fitting (G 3/8" Thread, 1/2" OD)

2x Thermalright HR-09 U Mosfet Cooler (Type 2, Upright)

20' Neoprene Rubber Edge Trim ("C-Strip" Molding)

Yup, 20 feet.

Never know what I'll need it for. For another build, for when I fudge up something...etc

A great little update.

I just purchased something.

Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 Yorkfield 3.0GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775 130W Quad-Core Processor.

Should be here by Friday.

I also did some things to my case and some fans, but yeah that just doesn't seem worth adding right now. The way things are going for me at work, I should be finished with this in 4-6 weeks. Hopefully GT200 based video cards will be out, but yeah. I'll be sure to take a picture of my new top-o-the-line cpu.

Yup, I got one.

It's looking like 17-21 March is the release date for mainstream Yorkies and X48.

MotherboardPro has the DFI LT X48 T2R up for pre order with an availability of 21 March. It's selling for less than $300.
