Wow @ those temps .

Those 9650s are just awesome chips. And I know what you mean by spending time playing .

GBQ ... I may be confused here, but if you are going by the 1st and 4th core readings ... I'd be surprised if you are at 19 degrees C ... that would be 66 degrees F. Unlikely unless you're in a very cold area right now.

What are your ambient temps?
I was wondering about ambient temps as well. Must have all the winders open at night as it's still a bit chilly up that way . What are load temps? Looks like a nice chip.

Speedfan shows ambient - 28 degrees C

Running @ 4.4ghz, 1.42 vcore prime95 stable. Load temps were between 48-50 degrees C.
My 8800GT is overclocked to 713 core, 1730 shader, 2000 memory.
Temps are 37 degrees C at idle. Running fan at 100%

I'm going to volt mod it to 1.1 and see how far it will take me.

What would you guys/gals like to see? Benchmarks and system pics wise. I'm pretty darn lazy now that I got it built.

I don't really care for system specs in sigs. I like mine just the way it is.

I'm not finished with this build though, I still need to get two AMD 4870x2's. I haven't decided if I'll watercool them though and I'm going to lap my QX9650 sometime too.

edit: 3dmark06 run:

15k

Yup, plays everything fine. I haven't burnt a blu-ray yet though.

Sweet Jesus, I know what it takes to do that and all I have to say is...

.... sorry I can't stop drooling... When do you expect the new ATI's? That would make your unit the creamery... Is your mainboard single or dual socket? Imagine 2 of those quads... You would probably get pretty close to the Desktop 3DMark06 and Vantage records if not smoke them...

Thanks Abadee. It's a single cpu mobo. Rampage Formula The Intel Skull Trails are the Dual sockets. The new 4870x2's are suppose to be arriving in June/July or whenever they feel like it, I guess.

I'm happy with what my single 8800GT has done though. Pretty darn smooth, but I have it overclocked to 747 core 2038 mem and 1858 shader 24/7 and thats ATI tool stable also. It can get higher for just benching, I'm wondering how high it would go with a new dual slot cooler, since I'm still running the little single slot fan. It has been volt modded though.

=)
It would probably go higher. I got my 9800 GTX to 770MHz/1926/2600 stable for playing games with its dual-slot cooler.

Run ati tool and check for errors/artifacts. I volt modded my card to get to that speed, which is 100% stable using ati tool. plus the 8800gt is alittle different from the 9800gtx. I'm fine with it though, till the 4870x2's come out.
No artifacts at all, with the fan cranked up via using RivaTuner, it idles at about 52c (at 70% fanspeed) and maxes at about 77c at those clockspeeds.

Ordered one 4870x2. Should get here Monday.

Next check, another order for crossfire-x.
