Beastly. Currently working on a modified Asus Top bios. Should get me to 1.3+ volts and 900+ core 1000+ Mem. Right now using expertool to set the fans to 100%. 40 degrees c at the moment.

Love this card.

First run with older drivers netted a 20k 3dmark06.

I want an I7 965.

Thinking about selling CPU, MEM and Motherboard.

Should I? hmmmm.

I7 extreme 965, 6-8gb ddr3 and an Asus rampage II extreme.... Oh man. My soon to be wife even gave me the OK... If I sell my crap first. Her words.

Trying to keep up with work, a major move, you know....just life. Been real busy lately, no time to research all the new stuff. I'll be off all of next week and 3 weeks in December. I plan on doing my catch-up then. I'm still on for the new rig. I already have the drives, psu, case, and sound. Just gotta decide on the majors.

Hey GB, I was reading some reviews on OC and one site got the I7 920 to OC to 3.8 Ghz a 40 % where as the Extreme only got to 4.0 Ghz a 25 % OC. Of course another thing I forgot to realize is the Water block I have for my old intel needs new hardware for the X58 Mobo. lol so I have the stock Intel Cooler right now.

=)

Decided to get another 4870x2 for some crossfireX action. Took out the first one to flash the new card to the ASUS Top bios.

And nothing happened. No post, no beep, CPU INIT!! Long story short I did everything humanly possible to try and fix it, but nothing did. Even bought some old ddr2 667 ram for the 1.8v bug thing.

I decided to go with DFI again. =)

Waiting for mobo to arrive.
I also got some IC Diamond http://www.innovationcooling.com/ tim in the mail, that they wanted testing on.

Sorry to hear that, GBQ.

If it's any consolation, I seemed to have borked my Rampage Extreme when I added my second 4870X2. Yet to check if the cards are still working, but the motherboard is dead.

Wow. My cards better work! Sorry to hear about your asus troubles shazza.

I think I'm going to try one more try today. I just hope I can get the same overclocking results on this new DFI board.
