Go I7 920 DO from Tank Guys, 4.2+ easy on air. 6gb Dominator's, Rampage Extreme II and two ATI 4890's. 1000watt psu. I'm jealous already.

Just a little update.

I'm going i7 in about a week. 920 D0, 6gb Dominator 1600's, Foxconn Bloodrage.

I finally got the GTX 295 and I7 CPU water cooled. so tweaking is next lol

Sounds good, GbQ.

My i7 system is running flawlessly. Just started an AMD 955BE build - biggest advantage seems to be reduced temps, albeit not quite as powerful as the i7 920.

Just alil update. I have my i7 920 D0 up and running. Benched at 4.62ghz Here is my first 3dmak06 run.

running 24/7 at 4.2ghz with HT and turbo on.

Even if your Stock.

My WC GTX295 runs @ 35 C when playing games like Crysis at max.

I am sure that will help the longevity of the card.

my first air cooled GTX295 did not last a year before the heat issues killed it.

So what? My GTX295 runs at 90C when playing games like Crysis at max.

I've never had an nVidia card "overheat" from using it like it's supposed to be used.

I've been using water since 2005-2006. That shot was just after I got everything with my new i7 920, bloodrage and 6gb dominators.. It was using the same setup I had before.
