I used my new dremel last night, on the fan shrouds. Had to drill the holes out for the 2" #6 screws.

Dremel's and PC cases good times.

GQ what route are you going to run the cooling lines?

It's going to be an external mounted Radiator, I'm not sure if I want it on top or on the back. The loop will be Pump-Rad-Cpu-Gpu-Res-Pump-

I'll draw up something later lol.

Gotcha. What kind of pump are you going to use?

Yup, the standard MCP655 vario model. Alittle tip, do not get the MCP655-B, thinking it's the same, just without the speed adjustment.

The vario model goes to a speed setting of 5, the Basic model is stuck at 4.

79 dollars.

That pump you posted, I don't think would be a good choice for a computer build. The pumps to use in a computer build are ones that are made for it. Taking a pump from your aquarium wont be the same.

There is only one other pump better and that is the Iwaki RD 30 24v DC pump, but I didn't want to spend 220 dollars for it.

Holy crap that pump has some power. Still pushing at 33 feet. Very impressive. with 5.3 GPM. Wow that would work great in my pond.

Well, I just remember my buddy getting a much better pump for his water cooling using an aquarium/pond pump. Then a "quote" water cooling pump.

Is it still working? Because every pump I've used or the family used failed before a year.

When you get into watercooling a computer, you have to start dealing with restrictions from the blocks and pushing water through radiators, its alot different than running water for bubbles or filters.

Do you know what pump he used?
My last pump lasted 4 years. Then I had to move and never set the tank up again. The pump still probably works. We both used EHEIM. Mine for a Fish Tank his for his PC.
