IBM encourages mixing alchohol and water 50/50 and cleaning your LCD with that.

cotton swabs, circular motions..

alchohol u can get at your local drugstore.

Circuit City actually sells a specialized cleaning solution which includes an ultra fine cloth specifically for LCD TVs and monitors. It works like a charm to clean any smudges and dust off the LCD. I believe it costs approximately 20 bucks for a good sized bottle and cloths.

I just use 100% clean cotton shirts and sometimes a lil bit of water and I have yet to scratch my screen. But whatever material you use, make sure its clean, because dirt can easily scratch surfaces.

As for windex, I think it can be bad for the screen. Anyone care to confirm or refute that statement?

Next time you’re at the doctors grab some of the alcohol swaps they use before giving shots, or from any computer store get some LCD screen cleaner, it a mix of alcohol and water then use a soft cloth.

Or sandpaper - you will never complain about your screen being dirty after cleaning it with sandpaper...

The search function is a wonderful tool : answer found here.
