Somebody's a bit grumpy... You want a claim backed up, ok, here -
9100 / 3.0 / WSXGA / 512
60Gb 7200 drive
4 Years In-home Service
4 Years Complete Care
Paid $2200, including shipping and $130 tax, so removing tax it was $2070.
3DMark03 score - 3300 stock speeds, 3811 'clocking the 9700.
Aftermarket upgrades - Less than $80 to go to 1Gb of ram ($240 for new 3200 SODIMs, get $160 for the existing 512 on fleaBay)
With that, the difference is .4GHz and the vid card, which is going to be upgraded like the XPS sometime in the fairly near future.
For me, the WSXGA screen is perfect, the WUXGA is too small for a 15" screen. The difference in processors is negligible, especially considering that they are standard desktop procs and can be upgraded well past 3.4 down the road.
So, tell me how you can get CLOSE to that system with an XPS, including the 4 year warranty with complete care. Hell, drop the warranty and the price would have been $1600...
And with the XPS you get what - an extra 250 3DMarks? No thanks.
Now, you want to withdraw your childish "f-ing bastards" and "f-ing troll" comments?
