Yeah it found nothing. That's wierd. Hold up is this native linux or win using vmware running linux? If it's a virtual machine not gonna happen. I don't think. Your video is being seen as 00:0f.0 VGA compatible controller. VMWare Inc: Unknown device 0405
that won't work. You have got to be running VMWare. Everything is just generic hardware. Most of which isn't even in your laptop. You're chasing your tail on this one.

Yes I am using VMWare, but now I got it works. I installed SUse 9.0 and chose VMware card instead of Vesa, it works fine. I will try to install Suse on dual boot with WinXP and see what happens. Wil got you updated.

but was it accerated? Are you gonna try and game on it or just as a what if exercise. Next time you ask for help with Linux let us know that it's in an emulated environment, or any other pertinent info. It would have helped to know that.

Sorry didn't articulate the environmen. I though it behave the same as the real thing. I use it for simulation, not for gaming, but it is disappointing to see it without the video card support. The raid 0 has been never able to accept any linux distro. I will next try the REAL installation last time on Suse. Thanks

The environment really matters, doesnt it?

mliu66, whenever you post large configuration files, if possible, pleae host them separately somewhere (a free hosting service for example) and provide a link to the file. This would keep the threads cleaner.

BTW, good work, BSmith.

Son of a .... you didnt mention you were running VMWARE. Now I am slightly put out. Chances are everything I said in previous posts would have worked on a native install. Damn thats annoying.
