Indeed, according to certain sources, Dell will be the first manufacturer to integrate a graphics board series Geforce 8800M.

The lucky portable computer indicated is not other than a XPS and one thinks inevitably of the Dell XPS M1730 whose exit was pushed back whereas it was awaited for yesterday (be besides would one of the reasons of this delay?)

To crown the whole and to make honor with this new top-of-the-range graphics board, this XPS will be most probably proposed in option with the very last processor Intel Core 2 X7900 Extreme.

Wow! Isn't the English language fun when being cannibalized by those of an eastern persuasion??

<ozzy>{Ozzy Osbourne Speak} Well ya know (incoherant mumbling) the bloomin' thing isn't gonna matter if its f*ckin' performance can't, ya know, can't hold its own against the f*ckin' (incoherant mumbling) M1710, ya know? {/Ozzy Osbourne Speak} </ozzy>

Slight loss in performance but it will not look so bad. ( Weren't you just complaining about people bitching about the looks?-I believe you called them poseurs)
True, but you guys actually think the current m1710 looks good? I think it looks like something I would have designed back in high school. Hence why I opted for the more professionally designed M90. I don't think there's a large disparity between the m1710 and the m1730 personally.

It's not that it looks great, it's that it doesn't look as bad as the 1730 does lol. Not to mention (as posted a thousand times) the port placement, lack of dock port ( come on, why wouldn't you want to dock this monster), the lack of ports, battery life...etc...

I am sure it will be a powerful machine once they allow for the dual 8800's to be dropped into it's chassis. I still like my black 1710 & love my silver XPS2.

I some what understand the lack of dock which I assume is due to SLI option, and it wouldn't be practical on Dell's end to redesign whole new dock which requires high power consumption just for the XPS system.

I think that's why Dell is keeping next geration M90's looks as current M90.

On all previous Dells with docking ports the graphics output connector is on the motherboard, this means that all the signals that need to go through the docking connector are present on the motherboard.
In the M1730 the output connector is attached directly to the graphics card. The graphics output signals are not on the motherboard. That seems to make it very difficult to add a docking connector.

Wow, I can see a whole bunch of broken or tweaked video cards in the M1730's future if users are constantly connecting & disconnecting video cables.

i think the white keyboard would look good if you got the white lid.
I hope 8800 and 1730 will come at the same time so I don't waste my money on 8700.
