Nice, but this will stop many people from buying early model of XPS I assume.

Yeah I agree. If this thing is coming out with the 8800M then I would definitely wait. I would also assume the alienware M9750 will have it too as others would soon to follow. I am looking into getting the M1730 or M9750. This is what I been waiting for as far as mobile gaming goes and partner it with the Intel Core 2 Extreme X7800 overclockable CPU you got yourself "THE BEAST". Not sure about how the introduction of the x7900 mobile card from intel will fit in all this. Will it even be overclockable? Maybe someone might have the answer.

even if they come out with the 8800 cards they may not work with the DX10.1 drivers that microsoft will be coming out with. Microsoft should make the new DX10 work for any DX10 card not just some that will be coming along later though...
