Dell C600 upgrades

Hello, I currently have a dell C600 laptop 750Mhz 256M Ram. I would like to upgrade the processor speed and Ram.

What are my options?

I have a 1.2 GHz processor from a C840, will that work in the C600?
Also all I can find for memory options is 512M upgrades, is that the limit.

What can I do to speed up my C600, or is it out dated and not worth the effort?

The CPU from a C840 will not work. THe C600 has a completely different CPU socket. You're better off writing it off and getting a new Laptop.
