ok, i am not a "hardcore gamer" but i do enjoy occasionally playing battlefield 2 when i am bored or on a rainy day.
Now, I am going to college and i need a laptop (ive never owned one) and i think being at college i might play bf2 more than i do at home.
so heres the problem: I want a small notebook thats under 15" that can still handle bf2 nicely. I have a $2,000 budget but i'd like it to be less than that if possible. Also, i hate vista and i want XP. I was looking at the Asus G1 but it comes with vista, and its a 15.4" I was this laptop to last me throughout college.
I plan to hook my laptop up to a external monitor in my dorm/apartment so the small screen size doesn't really matter to me. I want it to be small and light so i can carry it around easily and go to class with it.
heres another problem, im not too computer knowledgable and i barely know how to download drivers without assistance. so searching around for the "best" laptops isn't coming easy to me at all.
can someone help me out? or is the G1 really my best bet.
