this is what i posted earlier in the " alienware sentia section" not knowing there was a support sec. but anyway here is it maybe someone can help out
i was having a few problems with the systems preformance..it was very slow..anti spyware, virus and registry erpairs werent working anymore..i decided to back everything up and format the HHD and reinstall the OS..so what happens..all of a sudden the system shuts off whenever it wants to..sometimes 3 minutes sometimes 10 minutes..never a second more then that ..from what i know about laptops, especially AW, i asummed it was either a fan/ overheating problem or a motherboard ( which i hope not)..but when booted on the fan does not spin..can that be the reason..the computer doesnt even stay on long enough for the OS to be installed..any feedback would be more then helpful, i usually deal with my own computer problems, but thought i'd ask you guys before i take it to a tech..freakin geeksquad wants 125 bucks just to look at it and tell me what the problem is..wowwww
and an update..i recently noticed ( again there is no OS install) that a black screen with the words" press any key to boot from cd or dvd comes up, if a key isnt pressed right away a another messages comes up saying " ntldr missing press alt. crtl and delete to restart..now as for that screen, i can stay on it all day, which i actaully did and the system did now shut down..it only shuts down when trying to install the OS, this is driving me crazy i cant figure it out, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee any feedback
