All this DirectX 10 nonsense has me very confused as to what I should be looking for in a laptop currently. Obviously I'm rather ignorant of computer tech.
At the moment this is what I'm looking for:
Side-note, notebooks that caught my eye:

http://www.alienware.com/product_det...de=SKU-DEFAULT
http://www.dell.com/content/products...=19&l=en&s=dhs
Though to be honest the Dell and Alienware seem way too expensive while the Asus seems to have a lot of what the other two have for a much lower price. Any other suggestions are welcome.
At the moment this is what I'm looking for:
- $2000-$2500 price range (the maximum price range increases as time goes on maxing at about $3000 dollars around Christmas)
- 2 gigs of ram
- Intel Core Duo whatever
- A graphics card that can play pretty much anything currently out at high-max settings and that could last me a while (if it could play Crysis at med-low settings I'd be more than satisfied)
