These are the specs i was looking at.
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7300 (2.0GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Display with TrueLife™
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, 2 DIMM
160G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
1 Year Limited Hardware Warranty with Mail-in Service
8X CD/DVD Burner w/ double-layer DVD+R write capability
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8600M GT
Thats a Dell Vostro 1500 with a processor and video card upgrade.
My question is this. Will that setup be capable of running games like WoW on med/high settings and some other games like Oblivion Bioshock BF2.etc on med/low settings with little or no lag??
My dad is pressuring me to decide what i want. I'm a dead man if i decide to spend ~$1000 on this machine and find out its not powerful enough for what i need. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.
Also how does a ATI Mobility x1800 or a GeForce Go 7950GTX stand up to the 8600M GT?
Thanks in advance
