Loud? Is there a way...

All im doing is surfing the net, the power is plugged in. However, my laptop is a bit hot... and the fan is LOUD... is there a way to turn the fan down a bit? I dont mind the heat.

I tried to look for the performance settings but all i found is changing the sleep/turn HDD options.

so..................help? ><

Check to make sure you're not on Better Performance under the battery icon in the menu bar. Set it to Normal.

flash seems to really work macs idk if its just not universal yet, but my macbook chokes on flash prety bad, kicks the fans all the way up

you may not mind the heat but the laptop would. Get smcFanControl 2 and monitor your temps. I currently have my system set to 4.3k fan speed when plugged in. It keeps the laptop cool enough and doesn't produce too much noise. (4.3k for me is just on the edge of hearing the fan noise)

actually, notebookforums deserves a thread on why Flash runs so poorly on the Mac platform.
