DV6000t and Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP

I dont know if this is even possible. But are these specs good enough to be able to handle the Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP?

My specs:

- Windows Vista
- Intel Core Duo T2450 (2.0 GHZ)
- 2GB RAM
- 256MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7400
160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard drive

If not, what do i need to upgrade in order to get this monitor to work with my DV6000t?

I also want to know if my DV6000t can support the Acer Ferrari F-20

unless i m mistaking, if u just use the external monitor as ur primary, u should be able to run the monitor with its native resolution support. my 9700 ati runs the external at 1600x1200 - but i think that this is due the max that my external can support

cheers ...

so wait, my dv6000t have a screen resolution of 1280x800 right now. and the Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP have a max resolution of 1680x1050 .... if i run the dv6000t on that dell monitor, the max resolution that i can see on that dell monitor would be 1280x800?

is there any way that i can hook up my dv6000t to the dell monitor and have it at the max resolution of 1680x1050?

u can hook the dell onto ur laptop video port, toggle the Fn key to use the external monitor, then u should be able to run the external at its max resolution

but is it possible that i can have both of the monitors ON at the same time without having to constantly toggle it with the fn key? and if i have both of the monitors on, can i have them at different resolutions? one will be 1280x800 while the other be 1680x1050...\

is this possible? will my video card handle this or will everything be very slow and buggy?

no. the main lcd will drive the resolution, u can play with the setting on 2nd monitor but it will kick back to the main

on a laptop - video signal out is driven by ONE source, u want real multiple monitors, get an extra pcmcia vga card

cheers ...

so i have decided to buy the DEll ultra sharp monitor with max resolution of 1680x1050. my lap top have a max resolution of 1280x800. i've decided to use the fn key to toggle around the monitors. BUT i want to know that if i do toggle the with the fn key to the EXTERNAL MONITOR, WILL I GET MAX RESOLUTION OF 1680X1050 ON THE THE DELL MONITOR or will it kick back to the 1280x800 resolution? and is my graphics card good enough to handle the monitor? or will it be very buggy?

yes, you can set it to the max resolution of the monitor.

I have the same monitor, but different laptop/gpu, and I have no problems driving a dual monitor setup with unique resolutions. I don't see what qhn means- it should all be adjustable from display property settings menu if you have the most current drivers. I use omega ati.
