PS3 reads all Disc's but Blue Ray games.

Alright this is really pissing me off. My PS3 reads any type of Disc I put in it no problem dvd or cd burnt or pressed. But when I want to play a game it just sits there with the little busy Icon spinning in the top right corner. I can eject the disc or browse the internet no problem so I know that the system isn't frozen it just wont read Blue Ray. My PS2 games work fine so I know its not games and Demos or DL games play just fine. I am getting ready to through this thing out the window any help would be great guys.

Do you have a warranty? Any Firmware upgrades available? Personally I am on a Sony boycott. Over the years anything I have bought branded with the SONY name from DVD Players to Car Audio Receivers and Amps to CD and SACD Players and a PS2 has STB.

only thing i can think of is to check for updates and if nothing else call sony tech support and have them sort it out. either way it shouldnt be doing that

Well its hit and miss. I can get it to read games sometimes. Now that I have a little down time I am going to call Sony.

there is a tutorial on ps3scene.com on how to clean the blu-ray laser. might want to try that.
