Need help upgrading to XP from Vista (M1330)

Well I'm getting my M1330 today, it's on the truck for delivery as we speak!

Anyway the first thing I want to do is to replace Vista with XP. BUT when I go to Dell's website to down,oad the drivers, they seem to be missing the audio and video drivers. They have them all for Vista, but not fo XP.

Any suggestions to what I should do? Thanks!

Video drivers can be downloaded from laptopvideo2go or another third party site. I use the Tweaks Mobile drivers. What sound option did you go with?

Thanks for the info. I just got the intergrated soundblaster option for my sound.

Did you switck from Vista to XP?

I was dual booting XP and Vista Ultimate but prefer XP. Vista looks nice and my system runs it fine but I just don't have a eason for sticking with it. There is a slight performance hit running it Vs XP. If you google for your sound driver I am sure you will find one.

EDIT: I found this. Noy sure if it will work, but I'ma try it out tonite.

This tells you the information and experiences from other users installing WinXP on an M1330.

Be sure to read through the ENTIRE THREAD before you start downloading drivers... throughout the thread, people will post updates and links to better drivers, etc.

BTW, the video drivers I ended up using were the Dell drivers for the GeForce Go 8400M that are listed under the Vostro 1500.

Thank you. I ended up downloading the audio and video drivers from the Vostro line as well. I will look into that thread now though, thanks again!
