Do you even have a 360? and if so when did you pick it up? And that's the only reason why I own Street HomeCourt.

no. I'll probably pick one up this Christmas. (maybe)

it took me a while until i got my 360 because of the titles at the time were so scarce..but i knew i was coming across hard times before i get to play anything that would grab my attention span. rainbox six: vegas, lost planet, oblivion, gears of war saved me from losing face at my nearest gamestop. as i trickle in all but positive.

stranglehold and bioshock are saving titles right now.

question bioshocking is ...skipping like hiccups on mine. no scratches whatsover. none - been told it's a driver lens but i tested gears of war and it goes in smoothly. any suggestions?

make sure your 360 isn't overheating!
eeh....i'll let you know when i find out later on. gotta wait till my friend finishes bioshock w/ it. apparently he can play through the skips. esp during the last boss fight. it was pretty disturbing.

overheating seems plausible..considering how i don't usually play that long in a day sitting. but lately it has gone through some hardcore gaming

thinking of picking myself up a another copy to see if there's a problem. cuz i never heard of a 360 skipping for it

Halo 2 games for windows with 360 controller.
I cant seem to get the hang of using the controller though. Trying to familiarize with it so that i can play xbox 360 without getting my ass kicked on multiplayer.

I play Skate all the time and I'm pretty sure its in 1080p...at least my Sony DLP still says 1080p after starting the game from the dashboard.

No, do you need something added?

Just a reminder, the 360 outputs in 1080p but cannot render in 1080p, the 10MB of EDRAM available to the grfx processor is insufficient to render a full frame of 1080p content, a 1080p frame at 8bit color per pixel requires about 16MB's. (And thats just for 8bit color)

So keep in mind that every game is rendered at a lower res then scaled to 1080p.

Then why is there a list of 1080p supported games and all kinds of people talking about "true" 1080p games? I follow your logic and it had occurred to me as well, though I didn't have the numbers to back my assumption.

I think PS3 is technically capable of a true 1080p render, but even the PS3 is not strong enough to handle rendering say Resistance 2 in 1080p, its just not strong enough processing wise to handle the render detail, that is to say a static scene with a few polygons rendered at 1080p - no problem, but when scaled to complex textured, shaded, polygon count, lighted games as we see at the top end now adays, if it was forced to render at 1080p you'd see like sub 15fps, so they render at a smaller resolution and let the scaler handle the rest.

As for the 360, it only has enough EDRAM memory to render a 720p(slightly higher I believe) frame in one pass, end of story, scaler handles the rest. W/ 360 its more of a hardware architecture issue, although I imagine even if it had all the edram it needed it would still run into a lack of horsepower for say GOW2 at 1080p before the PS3 would, in the end they just dont have the ponies.
