NEW ipod stuff, again

again we see apple role out some new ipod stuff and soon we will see a grip more of random new ipod accessories. the ipod touch does seem kinda cool but i am sure as sure im not gonna run out and buy one when it is released. I WANT MY LEOPARD, please

any of you guys sleep out for new apple stuff? like the iphone...
lol all the early adopters are pissed about the iphone price drop... owned.
I'm considering the new nano or 'classic'.
the new nano would be cool, but assuming Mail gets ported to the iPod touch, that'd be one heck of an iPDA to work with. I'd sport that with me everywhere I go instead of my iBook.
I may be getting one of the 4GB iPhones to replace my trusty RAZR. Not sure though, the price is right and having an all-in-1 device might be cool but my RAZR is the best phone to date I have ever had. Solid and long battery life. Its still hard for me to think of replacing it.

The iPod touch seems nice but I've never really been big on portable music players. I have a Mobi Blu cube and I never use it. If it worked as a PDA that would be cool but I take my Macbook Pro everywhere anyways. Every free second I get I power it up and work on studying.

I was also hoping to hear some update on Leopard as well but either I missed it or there just wasn't any news to update.

My girlfriends Inspiron 6000D is on its last legs and I am thinking of getting her a Macbook Pro or an iMac to replace it. Not sure if she still wants a notebook system or a desktop system with a bigger display.

God, I need to find a boyfriend who will buy me a MacBook Pro...

:sigh:

You know the 4 gig iPhone is EOL'd right? They still have them but only while supplies last. They'll probably introduce a 16 gig iPhone once the rush for the 16 gig iPods dies down.
Yea I know that they are EOL but the thing that caught my eye was the price and a sorta all-in-one device. My RAZR is still a rocking phone so in cellphone terms I don't really need to update it. I just want to sorta look at the PDA functionality of it.

Also I have to buy 2 of them. GF and I have matching phones so if I upgrade I need to make sure I can get her one too. And I let her buy the RAZRs so... its pink. Love the phone to death but we have matching pink RAZRs.

...

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.
BAH! Its not that bad... But I am defintely buying the phones this time around. And definitely need a larger text msg plan.
Hehehe...

I'm the faggot here and even I wouldn't be caught dead with a pink phone.
Hehe, I've seen worse at the college. But it's fun going out and buying matching stuff. Totally dorky but fun. My favourite carrying case for my Laptops are the Timbuk2 products and actually found a local store for them. So I am thinking of taking her out to an apple store and getting a Macbook Pro and a case for an early Christmans gift before this semester gets too far under way.

I have to say though that owning an apple product kinda makes you want to make sure the peripherals match to keep up with the sleekness of the laptop. My only odd man out is the MX Revolution.
The MX Revolution is nice, and I think that the VX might match better (I have one ), but ultimately, I don't even use mice that much on OS X. The trackpads on the MacBooks and MacBook Pros are just too nice IMO.
I must be a luddite because I've never had any urge to match my PowerBook with anything I own.
they finally made nano play video. about time! wasn't there a 512mb and a 2gb shuffle in the previous gen? they killed em? as for the touch... basically an iphone less some apps and GSM. they picked up on Zune's #1 flaw of useless wifi and actually made their wifi practical...but quite a price premium $300 for 8gb vs the 80gb "classic" for $250. still...an interesting concept... now they just need GPS and then they will be set.

i sorta smell psp in there (somehow, iono) anyways i am still waiting for new laptop hardware news. if my nano somehow dies or is stolen, im not even considering apple for my next mp3 player. and i have not yet seen a single person using a zune, i will be sure to say "hey wow ur using a zune, good for you" to him or her

+im still way too terrified while driving because cellphones arent enough, now there are iphones and other istuff to help make the drivers in CA that much safer. i can picture myself yelling at a darn itouch user behind the wheel!!!! the ensuing rage...

well don't feel too bad early iphone adopters. steve jobs just wrote an open letter stating that they will give early adopters of the iphone 100 dollars in store credit.

don't get me started on apple's business tactics. i told my uncle to buy a mac the week before they switched to intel (didnt follow apple rumors that much at the time) and he got screwed over. same thing happened with the ipod. i bought a second generation ipod and the third one released right after.

now, they want to make it appear that they are doing a good thing for the apple loyalists. but i think that this strategy was planned from the start. what better way to get your approval ratings even higher by giving money back for an item that doesn't cost much to manufacture in the first place.

w/e all you iphone guys, make sure you get you 100 bucks!

Apple's business 'tactics' are the same as any other company... Does Sony personally send you a letter before they update their lines? "Dear BIGEE1212, we are updating our Inspiron line tomorrow, and just in case you were planning on getting one, we are letting you know. Wouldn't want you to give us money today would we?"

I have heard of plenty of instances where if a person bought a machine very close to when Apple updates, they will replace it for a nominal charge. In fact, a friend of mine got a Core Duo MacBook 10 days before they updated to Core 2... I do not remember exactly how much if any he had to pay, but i was surprised at how little it was, and now he has a Core 2 Duo.

So, don't get me started on your ignorance about business practices.
Not to mention even though the machines were being replaced in stores doesn't mean they weren't still good machines.

I'm sure the machines were quite enjoyable the week they were still top of the line from apple. Nothing changed inside. And hey, at least it isn't Windows Vista!

Thank you. You saved me from having to take the time to say all this myself.

And let me just add that I think everyone who bought an iPhone and are now bitching about the price drop should be kicked in the shin. Apple doesn't owe you jack shit unless you bought your iPhone within the last 14 days.

I bet two to one they only offered this 100 dollar rebate to stave off a class action lawsuit...which will *still* probably happen. I mean, god forbid people should have to pay 599 for an iPhone when you can get it now for 399! I bought my PowerBook three years ago and Apple went and replaced it with some new intel core thingy...well, damnit, I deserve a new laptop!

Yea, only thing I screwed up was that I mixed Sony and Dell... but past that, the point is strong.

Sony is the Devil and seeks to drain your soul of all that is good and pure.
