I've been promoted to buy a Packard Bell laptop, but I've never heard about this brand before. They told me that it's a very popular brand in Europe now. But laptop is not so expensive!!!
So, if someone has used or is using it, please, give me some advice: SHOULD I BUY IT????

Packard Bell is a fairly well-established computer manufacturer. Their laptops aren't entirely popular though. Why don't you post the model specs and price that you're considering so we can better advise you?

I honestly didn't know that Packard Bell was still in business. I thought they were bought out by another company. Post the specs you got m curious now.

Well with a 1.6GHz cpu and Integrated graphics gaming is out of the question. I have no idea about the build quality. As with any laptop don't get cheap with the warranty. As a plus with that cpu and integrated graphiics it should get great battery life. XP home is the devil. Go with XP Pro.

Packard Bell was a pretty bad PC maker here in the states. They got bought out by NEC I beleive and the brand name was taken to Europe.

Correct! Packard Bell and NEC are the same machines with different badges on... At least, that was the situation the last time I looked...
