Well, for my birthday, my fiancee is going to buy me a laptop, seeing as how I'm going back to school as well.
Kind of a 'I'm proud of you, happy birthday, just somethign special' , all that rolled into one. Well, I think that she also wants to get a new computer for herself ( seperate from mine), so that has somethign to do with it too

But what it really comes down too, I had a HP dv6000t that I really liked, and I love the looks of the dv6500t special edition. Now the Dell 1520 looks similiar enough to peak my interest as well. We're not concerned about price difference between the two, as configured the way i would like them, they are similar in price.
Now, i like the fact of a WSXGA+ in the dell, and slightly better graphics, but havent seen many reviews of it on here. I like the design of the Hp a lot better though it only gets the WXGA screen.
I dont have high demands for it. School work, a little bit of gaming, mostly a lil bit of WoW, Eveonline, maybe some other games. Im not worried about getting the best FPS, or highest details in my games. I just like to have the option for entertaining distractions in my free time.
I know what I'll be getting in the HP, as it would be similar to what I had, but looking for some opinions here. They would both have 2.0ghz C2D, 2G ram, 160Gb + HD, dedicated 8400/860 graphics, best screen etc etc. What would you do? any one had either, or both, compared them side to side? Both will be around $1,200, which is what were looking at price range.
I know this is kinda long, but just looking for some input. Thanks in advance for your input.
