question: 4GB or 3GB upgrade for P105-S9312 XP SP2

Wondering if anyone out there has upgraded their P105-S9312 to 4GB and has XP seeing it all?

I am considering buting two 2GB modules but after reading some sites wonder if I would be better off getting only one as XP may only see 3GB.

Also, would not having matching pairs of memory cause any issues? (1GB+2GB from different manufactures)

Thanks

The first thing that a I would do is get rid of the 4200rpm hard drive. I recently upgraded mine to a 7200rpm 160GB seagate and love it. It runs like a real computer now. I used EZ Gig II to clone the drive, worked great.
