start menu problem

My Acer 5100 laptop. When i turn it on it starts up normally but when it gets to the desktop part the "start menu bar at the bottom" shows up until the computer is done loading then it dissappears.. Anyone know wats wrong with it?? I reformatted it some time now and it worked until like 3 wks later it does it again. I have to push my window button to get to my stuff but i cant see the little icon at the bottom right corner and my wireless. Anyone help me plz!!! My start menu bar is gone.

Try Opening the Task Manager and end the task on Explorer.exe

Then on the same console open "File" and then select "New Task" and then write "Explorer"


Also are you sure that your Task bar is not hidden only.

my whole bar on the bottom is gone on the desktop like the start button, little 3 quick launch bar is gone and the task bar is gone and the clock, along with the little icons by the clock

Move your mouse to the bottom of the screen. If the bar shows up, right-click on it, click Properties, then make sure Auto-hide the taskbar is deselected.

i did what you told me scoutingwraith but the desktop icons flash and the bar that is missing just flashes then gone
