Need help transferring OS! (Installing new HD)

I have a new R61i and I want to install a Hitachi 7200rpm hard drive in it.

Can someone kindly explain the procedure of transferring the Vista OS from it's partition (hidden?) on the original HD, in order to reinstall it on a replacement HD?

They would surely have made provision for this, right?

I've looked in the manual and I can't find any reference to it.

Never mind, I just did it. Burned the 3 disks, no problem.
