Gateway MT6707 Windows XP issues

Hi,
I need help with my gateway. It came with vista but I was able to install win xp on a virtual HD that I created. It works fine except that under XP it as no sound at all. I have been looking on the net for 2 months now no hint. Come on help and help me out.
