Gateway MX8738 or like for $600. Need help choosing.

Hi, I'm looking into buying my first notebook and found a refurbish Gateway MX8738 for $600 to use as a back-up to my desktop and on the go.

I'm worried about the GPU (Intel GMA950) which I might want to play CNC Tiberium Wars and Supreme Commander on.

Also I would hate to waste the 2 sticks of 512mb if I upgrade the memory.

Is there a better choice out there for that price?

The 17" wild screen is nice but I have a 19" WS with dual inputs I can connect to at home. Is it worth it to go with a smaller screen with a better GPU option?

If you want to play any games then go with something that has an actual graphics card. Integrated graphics ain't gonna cut it. Any graphics options with phrases like Hypermemory or Turbocache steal memory from your system ram. So keep looking.
