Sony SZ640: Can I rip a DVD and save it to my harddrive?????

I have the new Sony Vaio SZ640 and wanted to know if there was a program that I could rip a DVD and store it in my hard drive???

Also what cable do i need to watch hook up my laptop to my TV???

If you want to make a copy of your your DVD to harddrive then use DVDshrink. It will give you the option to not only backup it up to your harddrive but if you have NERO it will give you the option to create a duplicate to another DVD-R. If it cannot read the disk then try downloading a program called AnyDVD to remedy the situation. DVD shrink works and doesn't load any junk on your sys. Hope this helps.. lates
