Hello,

I have a probem, Adium doesn't seem to get along with my Universiy's proxy. Do I have another option?

Does regular AIM work? Adium shouldn't really pose an issue as it uses the same ports regular AIM uses.

There's Proteus and Fire and GAIM—though I think they stopped development on Fire and you never hear about Proteus anymore and GAIM needs Xwindows to run.

In fact, I use MSN, GTalk, ICQ and Yahoo, not AIM. Microsoft's MSN for Mac OS spoils the whole OS! ehe

man, sounds like adium would really have been nice for you.... talk to your schools IT department, see if they can open some ports for you
