Upon further inspection, I noticed that the SLI isn't working correctly with these 163 series, either the whole SLI function or just the SLI graph.
When I turned the SLI graph on, I noticed the screen didn't go black and then came back like it normally did, and the graph just isn't showing in any game. I also noticed the performance in my games has gone down, for example i'm getting 40 fps in half-life 2 instead of the normal 70 fps, which makes me thing that the SLI just isn't working with these drivers.
Hey HH, did you experience the same problems with the 163.44 you were using??
No. I'm using the 165.01 driver at the moment.
If you're having driver issues, get driver cleaner, it's a free program and will remove all the elements of the old drivers. Sometimes dregs of old drivers can cause problems.
Go into the device manager and make sure both drivers for each card is reporting the same.
Also, make sure you've got SLI enabled in the Nvidia control panel. Sometimes toggling the SLI off, then rebooting and turning it back on solves communication issues between the cards.
You're putting the modified INF file into the driver folder before installing, right?
