Still working on my project ... Here's some more pics from the weekend's efforts:

Most of my efforts were spent on hooking up the UV CCFLs ( a pain in the neck. I picked up 2 Overboost AC Ryan CCFLs ... very disappointing). Here's my sleeving efforts:

A look after more cable management (not very exciting, I know ... but I'm working hard at it):

With the back door on ... note, the biohazard sign is just an applique - it will come off when I figure out just what I want to do with the window:

And, a few pics of the mosfet/chipset waterblocks:

(Looks like a bit of dust showing up in that last pic) :

And ... as I was cleaning up my mess, look what I found under the desk. He was sitting in one of the discarded plastic containers:

And, finally --- a few practice shots with the camera in nighttime setting. I should be ALL finished next weekend. These give a pretty good representation of what the color looks like in a darkened room with the UV lights on:

Looks great Really professional. I thought about water cooling at one point, but I can achieve the temps/clock I need w/o it & I don't have to worry about waking up to a leaking system one day lol.

Yep ... just dropped him in a pot of boiling water ..., actually, I put a towel around him, and dropped him outside.

@SolApathy ... I'm the first to admit water cooling isn't necessary with today's air cooling solutions, but I can also say this is the most fun I've had with a project in a long time. Learned loads, and the silence factor is a great benefit (even with 8 fans).

I'm proud of you Shazza.

looks amazing, now you set the bar for my everlasting build . I already know, I'm not going for a dual loop. Nice looking camera work too, we're both improving eh..

One question, I was looking at getting those overboost uv's. What was disappointing about them? The level of UV you achieved?

p.s. Cable management pics are always exciting.. for me anyways

The AC Ryan overboost UV CCFLs were not as bright as the Logisys. I was very disappointed in them, but too busy/lazy to return them to Frozen CPU.

Also ... installing the CCFLs is a PITA if you use them as they come. Takes up a PCI I/O slot, and you have to figure out how to mount the inverter, etc. Going to look at a solution to skip the PCI I/O slot hookup and go directly to a bay switch ... have seen some examples.

I have the logisys UV lights and I personally think they're great, although finding places for them is sometimes not very easy.

You see my inverter placemet, which is covered by the door. You will also notice in these pics you cannot see my CCFL's. I carefully removed them from their casing & applied clear scotch tape to cover the HV wire. Then I placed the top CCFL in the upper support , and the lower one under the lip where the door is attached.

I have a back plate switch. I am very tedious about my wiring lol. I like everything to look perfect.

I've been busy with work lately, but finally had a chance to play around today. I am ALMOST done! Here are a few snaps in the afternoon light ... with the computer off, because the LEDs are too bright to get a decent shot with it on. Gotta figure out how to do that. These shots give a reasonable view of the color in daylight.

Well ... still need some work on my photography skills, but here's the END ... (for now) !!!!

I think I'm sick of blue and pink ... next build will be black and red!

Is that Wanda or Nemo on your side window?! AWESOME!

That's Nemo ... he's there temporarily while I decide what I really want etched on the window ...

Busy with work, so not much time to play - but my copy of HellGate just arrived, so that may see a little action tomorrow. Also want to hook up my second GTX card to the water cooling loop, but that does involve emptying the loop, and lots of screws/TIM application.
