MacBook Pro Memory Configuration

Thread Starter
Hey Guys,

I have the MacBook Pro 15" with 1GB Ram and I'm looking to upgrade it to 2GB.

I was thinking I would have to get 2x1GB Sticks but recently when I went into System Profiler It said that I had 1 GB Ram and that Bank 0 was empty and Bank 1 had a 1GB Stick in it...

I currently dont have screwdrivers handy so I just wanted to check if this was reliable as it would cut my Costs in half....

i'd say get some screwdrivers handy and confirm it if you don't trust the system profiler. i'd trust it, but even so i'd want to take a look at how and where the new RAM needs to be installed ahead of time.

I trust the system profiler as it has never lied to me. But as Triadone said, go ahead and get the screwdriver out since you will need it to put the new RAM in.
