Need specs

Hello, I'm new here so bare with me. I am getting ready to purchase a Laptop and would like some recommendations. I will be doing Short home movies and short music videos. However, they will all be in hi-def. I will be using Pinnacle studio 11 ( I know, I know, just shoot me. lol) and Adobe CS3 with after-effects and several other plug ins. I don't have to have the fastest computer in the world, but it doesn't have to be a bare bones either. I just want it to be able to do anything in Hi-def without skipping, stalling , shutting down and all that other good stuff. lol. So here go all the questions.
Which Intel processor?
Will a 7950 gpu do fine or do I need to get a Nvidia Quadro?
Will 2 external hard drives in raid 0 cause problems? or should I have all three drives in the laptop?
Do I really need 3 hard drives for Hi-def?
Which is really necessary, 667fsb, 800fsb, or 1000fsb?
Any other info or ideas you can give would be GREATLY appreciated. Or if anyone has suggestions of other websites for video editing with laptops, that would really help also. Thanks in advance.

1. Intel Core 2 Duo should suit you fine
2. Don't worry to much about the GPU, the 7950 will be more than fine for most things
3. External RAID arrays are the standard, make sure you find some way of using FW800 if at all possible for them, or eSATA
4. Faster is always better, but I typically don't worry to much about that, so no real comment.

Thanks Seablade for the info, any suggestions on which core 2? Anyone else have any tips?
Again, Thanks for the help.

Well the faster the better. Might as well go with Santa Rosa since they are out.

I will put in a quick suggestion of looking at a MacBook Pro to be honest, but you can of course feel free to ignore it
